Car gang ringleader is back behind bars - Manchester Evening News: "Michael O’Donnell, 29, was on remand awaiting sentencing when he took a razor to his ear in his cell at Forest Bank Prison.
An ambulance was called to take him from the Salford jail to hospital but it was ambushed on the way. Four masked men pulled up in a stolen BMW and smashed the ambulance’s windows, freeing O’Donnell, of Matley Green, Brinnington.
He was recaptured last week at Pontin’s in Southport ahead of his sentencing at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court."
