Two suspects are being sought in a roundup of gang members suspected of videotaping robberies and assaults, then selling the tapes as entertainment.A third suspect police were looking for was located and arrested late Sunday.Denver police Friday announced 32 arrests of suspects who said they belonged to either the Rollin' 60s Crips gang or the Black Gangster Disciples gang. They are accused of robbing white or Latino men of wallets, iPods, and cash.Two suspects had not been arrested as of Sunday.A task force of Denver police, the FBI and District Attorney Mitch Morrissey's office identified 26 incidents since July.The assaults and robberies happened across Denver, including in the Lower Downtown, or LoDo, entertainment district which includes the 16th Street Mall near Coors Field and the Pepsi Center.

Tina Lester was arrested Friday on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of 36-year-old Ronald Schlatter of LaPorte, Colo.

65-year-old woman wanted in a 1968 slaying in Denver has been arrested in Dayton, Ohio. where police say she's been living under an alias.Denver police spokeswoman Sharon Avendano says Tina Lester was arrested Friday on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of 36-year-old Ronald Schlatter of LaPorte, Colo.According to a Denver Post article from the time, Schlatter was playing pool at the Blue Chip Bar on Nov. 8, 1968, when he and Lester got into a scuffle.Lester allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Schlatter in the chest. Witnesses told police Schlatter grabbed the gun and fired at Lester as she fled. He then collapsed and died.Avendano says Denver's homicide unit obtained a warrant for Lester's arrest in 1968 and has been looking for her since.

No charges will be filed against a man who carried guns into a Denver hotel where U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stayed during the Democratic National Convention.
A criminal case against Joseph Calanchini, 28, of Pinedale, Wyo., is "closed," said Robin Finnegan of the Denver district attorney's office. Calanchini was arrested Aug. 23 when police found him carrying two rifles and two handguns in the lobby of the Grand Hyatt Hotel. He was held in the Denver jail on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon. The day of his arrest, Pelosi was briefly evacuated from the hotel. Calanchini told authorities he had the weapons because he was going on a hunting safari in South Africa.

Richard D. Garrett

Richard D. Garrett, 42, of Denver, Police attempeted to stop a vehicle and a pursuit began.
The pursuit ended a short time later outside the “Taco House” restaurant at 55th and North Federal Boulevard when the suspect's vehicle became immobilized. Garrett exited the vehicle and engaged the deputies in a fight.
Garrett was able to grab a deputy's pistol during the encounter. While struggling for control of the pistol, one round was fired but the fired round did not strike anyone.
Garrett was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for treatment. The vehicle Garrett was driving had been reported stolen on December 23 out of Windsor.
Garrett was not the wanted person the deputies were initially looking for, however, Garrett is now being held for investigation of aggravated motor vehicle theft, vehicular eluding and resisting arrest.
