Tonya Richardson, 18, of Upper Marlboro, died about 4 p.m. at Prince George’s Hospital in Cheverly, succumbing to injuries sustained from a gun shot to the head. Richardson and two other victims were shot early Tuesday evening in the 9500 block of Ardwick Ardmore Road in Springdale, about one-quarter of a mile from the high school.
The remaining two victims, a 17-year-old junior and 36-year-old adult male have since been treated and released from the hospital. Richardson said no suspects have been arrested yet in the shooting and the case is still under investigation.
