CSPD homicide detectives and members of the Tactical Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 1200 block of south Chelton Road. That search warrant was executed as part of the investigation into the January 3rd murder of Josh Sommervold. Vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the area of 1200 south Chelton Road were diverted for a short time during the execution of the warrant.
The investigation continued and at approximately 6:30 PM this evening, homicide detectives and TEU officers went to a residence in the 4200 block of Deerfield Hills Road and arrested 18-year-old Bryant Ross Sherman of Colorado Springs for first degree murder. Adrian Lamont Works, who was hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds on the night of shooting, has also been arrested for first degree murder. He remains hospitalized and will be taken to CJC upon his release.
Detectives have also obtained a first degree murder arrest warrant for 32-year-old Andrew Dickerson. Dickerson is a black male, 5’9” tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds. Photographs of Andrew Dickerson and Adrian Works accompany this release. No photograph of Bryant Sherman will be released at this time. The investigation is continuing. No further information is available for release at this time.
On Sunday morning, January 6, 2008 at approximately 12:30 AM, CSPD homicide detectives and Tactical Enforcement Unit members located and arrested 32-year-old Andrew Dickerson at an apartment in the 400 block of Farr’s Court. Detectives had earlier obtained an arrest warrant for Dickerson charging him with first degree murder in connection with the death of Josh Sommervold. The investigation is continuing. No additional arrests are anticipated.
