: Two bank robberies in Boone County on Thursday afternoon led to police on a chase that spanned three states - twice during the evening rush hour.

Florence Police and Boone County Sheriff’s deputies chased the robbery suspect as he sped north on Interstate 75, then west on Interstate 275. When the chase went into Indiana and then Ohio, the Kentucky agencies let those states take over.
Authorities then told Boone County that the suspect had turned around and was headed back toward Kentucky. Florence Police and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport police used sticks with spikes in them to pop the car’s tires as it sped east on I-275.
After hitting the sticks near the Mineola Pike exit, the suspect’s car ran off the road and struck the cable barriers in the median about 4:50 p.m. The suspect was not hurt and was quickly taken into custody.Text may be subject to copyright. This blog does not claim copyright to any such text.
