Alleged Australian drug lord arrested in Cyprus - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation): "Hakan Ayik appeared in court in the port of Kyrenia, where he was ordered to be held for another six days while Turkish Cypriot police continue their investigation.
Ayik, who evaded capture in Cyprus a month ago, is on the most wanted list of the Australian Crime Commission.
He fled Australia in August when New South Wales police issued a warrant for his arrest.
Ayik, who was raised in Sydney and has a Turkish background, is closely connected to a Sydney bikie gang. He is known as a fitness fanatic and is a bar and brothel owner.
Turkish Cypriot police say they seized a laptop computer and equipment used to process drugs and eight mobile phones."
