arrested metro narcotics investigator Jason Barber for allegedly selling a gun to a felon. He now faces two felony charges.Barber's bond was set at $100,000. But after a judge heard testimony from Barber's mother and pastor, bond was reduced to $5,000.
"She believes Jason is innocent, I have had more detailed conversation probably with his grandmother and they are standing by the fact that they do not believe he is guilty," said Barber's Pastor Byron Soloman.Barber was assigned to the same narcotics unit as IMPD officers Jason Edwards and Robert Long arrested last month for allegedly stealing and selling drugs. Those arrests resulted in 20 Marion County case dismissals and as many as 15 future case dismissals.
